  • DFSC Member Carol Wooley Makes us Proud!

    Long time DFSC Member and Judge Carol Wooley has been assigned to Judge the National Showcase in early August in Burbank California!!!  As if that wasn't awesome enough, she is also Officiating at National Solo Dance held this September in Colorado Springs!    Way to go Carol!  You're amazing!
  • Long Time DFSC Member ranked as Master Coach!

    Christopher Pottenger recently attended the PSA conference in Palm Springs, CA and passed tests to earn the title of the youngest Master Rated coach in the US. He is also a National Technical Specialist and has been a Dallas FSC member for 22 years.photo
  • Congrats to Carol Wooley!!

    Dallas FSC Official, Carol Wooley has been assigned as an alternate dance judge for the 2015 National Championships. She is also the USFS Judges Committee Sectional Vice Chair of Dance, and member of the USFS Dance Committee. She volunteers tirelessly for the DFSC as the Publicity Chair, Officials Transportation Chair, plus judging test sessions and competitions. Congratulations Carol!!
  • DFSC Members Honored!

    DFSC National Medalists and Team USA Recognition Vivian Le - Honorary DFSC National Champion membership Recipient: DFSC Home Club Skaters qualify upon achieving the status of United States National Champion in the level of Juvenile through Senior.  This free (full family) membership expires after five years.   Ashley Shin and Elena Taylor - Honorary DFSC Team USA membership Recipient: DFSC Home Club Skaters qualify for a free (full family) membership if they are named as members Team USA by USFS. The free full family membership is valid only during the duration of the skaters appointment to Team USA.

    DFSC Skater Elena Taylor competed in the Challenge Cup in the Hague, Netherlands and took SILVER!   We are so proud of you!

    Ashley Takes Silver! DFSC and Team USA Skater Ashley Shin competed in the 24th Gardena Spring Trophy 2014 in Selva Val Gardenia, Italy and took Silver! Congrats Ashley and Coaches Aleksey Letov and Olga Ganiecheva on a job well done!

    Thanks to all the competitors for outstanding efforts today during the Bunny Hop Open!   We are so proud of all the skaters who competed today for their dedication to the sport.     Check out the Official Jackets under the membership tab and order your new Official DFSC Jacket!   They are great this year and there is no excuse not to be flying your DFSC colors!   If you're on the ice or in the stands, you should stay warm and show your DFSC spirit!

  • Congratulations Melanie Vargas!

    DFSC skater Melanie Vargas passed the Senior Freeskate test in January 2013.   She will receive a USFS GOLD medal pin from the Dallas FSC.   Congratulations Melanie!   We are so proud of your accomplishment! To be eligible to receive this prestigious pin, DFSC skaters must be a Home Club Member for 5 years and test on a DFSC Test Session.
  • Jim Morris Memorial Award

    The Jim Morris Memorial Award is a monetary award created to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the skaters who have passed Senior level tests.
    Jim was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Dallas FSC since 2007. He was appreciated and admired for his service and continued passion for figure skating as a USFS National Accountant and a Level 2 Technical Accountant. We were very proud he represented the DFSC.
    Jim passed away in May 2013 after a long illness. He will be greatly missed.

One for each age level Elementary; Middle School and High School   Good Sportsmanship Award: Please describe how your nominated skater has shown an act of good sportsmanship. One for each age level Elementary; Middle School and High School   Heart of a Skater Award: Please describe how your nominated skater shows love for figure skating. One for each age level Elementary; Middle School and High School   Most Improved: One for each age level Elementary; Middle School and High School.   Scholastic Honors Award: Skaters who have shown a dedication combined with commitment to academic excellence. Please provide a copy of the latest report card, and write a short essay, in 100 words or less. Topic: Why Do You Skate?
